The new, already the tenth generation European Honda Civic arrives longer by 130 mm, wider by 30 mm and 20 mm lower. Thanks to the new platform floor larger sizes did not affect negatively on the weight of the compact. On the contrary - Civic lost weight by 16 kg. In addition to the savings in weight of the new platform it is also more durable and 52% resistant to torsion. The wheelbase grew by 30 mm. Larger sizes have impact mainly on greater comfort, especially in the rear, where the "comfortably can sit back even tall people." The boot capacity of 478 liters - exactly as much as the current generation.
Interior and security systems
The most important place on the dashboard reserved for the 7-inch touch screen, which will be the heart of an improved multimedia system. Honda Civic will offer, of course, connections to mobile technology Apple CarPlay and Androi Auto. The list of options will be Garmin satellite navigation with a license for 5 years map updates. A choice of three audio systems. Basic (160) will be composed of 4 speakers, shelf above get 8 speakers (180 W), at the top will be a system with 11 speakers.

Engines and gearboxes
Under the hood, the new Civic will be able to work with three engines. Two new petrol engines is a 1.0 three-cylinder VTEC Turbo 127 hp and 200 Nm of torque and a larger, 1.5 VTEC four-cylinder (182 hp and 260 Nm). Diesel is one. It's turbocharged, 1.6-liter i-DTEC 120 hp.
Petrol engines are paired with 6-speed manual I - surcharge - continuously variable transmission CVT. For turbo will be available manual transmission and automatic 9 ratios.
Representatives of Honda's claim that the manufacturer has no plans to introduce a hybrid version. However, as found out service Autocar new platform is designed to such a solution.
